The next recession now appears further away, thanks to Trump, economist says
With Donald Trump being the new president of the US, experts believe that the next recession for the US economy has been pushed back as far as two years now. Only seven months before the 2016 election, economists had speculated that the next economic recession would take place in 11 months, however, Deutsche Bank's chief international economist has stated that with the election of Donald Trump, it has reduced the chance of a recession occurring in the near future. However, within the first week of being president, Trump had imposed an executive order for an immigration ban. This has significantly impacted NASDAQ, the second largest exchange in the world, and dropped it down a lot more than it had ever dropped in previous months. In the end, economists are quite optimistic about the economic future of the US since they predict that inflation as well as economic stimulation will be under control for the next few years.
1. Aside from some very controversial executive orders, do you think Trump is actually helping out the economy so far like he promised?
2. Do you think that this minor economic success will continue to grow over the next four years?
3. Trump had claimed that he would listen to the people when he made decisions to boost the economy and give more people jobs. Do you think he is listening to the people and considering what they are saying for other social issues?

I actually do think that Trump has helped the economy. It is a little too early to tell what will happen over the next 4 years, as no one really knows quite what Trump will do. However, we are all hoping that he doesn't destroy our economy. I hope he listens to what the people have to say because some people know what is better for the US than he does.
ReplyDeleteI think Trump's actions for his first few days in office were bold. But, this shows the type of president he will be. By claiming to bring back manufacturing companies to America this will create an influx in jobs, which we need. Now we just have to see if he actually can do it.
ReplyDeleteI think Trump is actually helping our economy. But, I can not agree with his moral decisions when it comes to deportation and banning Muslims. However, we will have to see if this minor economic success will continue for the next four years.
ReplyDeleteIt is very uncertain whether the actions will actually stave off another rescission. I feel that the answer will come in time, because massive changes often have fast working affects on the economy.
ReplyDeleteTrump has helped our economy. He's at a good start, since it only took him a week to improve it. I feel he might be able to keep it up for the next four years since he made an impact so quickly.
ReplyDeleteTrump is definitely helping our economy. His experience in business has really helped him with that. One should hope that Trump will start listening to the nation so that he can make the best choices.
ReplyDeleteI think the so called economic success Trump is bringing will be short lived. I do not think Trump will do a good job addressing social issues as he is narcissistic.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope that Trump does an amazing job helping our economy, not many people like him, but he is our president non the less. Trump will have a major part in whether or not the recession happens sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump has been in office for too short to determine whether he is really helping the economy. If there is any economic improvement, like this data here, then it must have resulted from the years of dedication to saving the economy by the Obama administration.
ReplyDeleteTrump hasn't been in office for too long but he is sticking to what he said and is helping the economy. For now, we have to wait and see if minor economic success will grow.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Trump has not addressed any of the economic options of his campaign. His current direction is securing the boarders and preventing people with questionable backgrounds to come into the United States. His economics agenda should boost the economy and also prevent mounting trade deficits with trade partners. That has not happened yet but some of it is taking shape in economists predictions of near future. I think his economic agenda will follow through based on his promises just like his social agenda even though it is very unpopular is taking shape.
ReplyDeleteI believe that we will not be able to tell if Trump's actions will benefit our economy until further time has passed. Only time will be able to tell if he makes a difference for good or bad. Trump is focusing on things that he shouldn't be and getting too emotionally involved when people disagree with what he is saying and who he appoints.
ReplyDeleteI feel like his actions are hurting our economy right now, I disagree with Mitchell's comment when he said "Trumps preventing people with questionable backgrounds" from entering the US. I believe that many innocent people are losing their human rights.
ReplyDeleteI think that Trump is helping out our economy from the looks of the statistics and that we will have to see if minor economic successes will grow over the four years. I think he is listening to the people in providing more jobs for American because he is very focused on providing good for Americans.
ReplyDeleteThe presidency, in broader terms, was meant and still is meant to be one part of a greater working government designed to help grow or regulate our nation. As our president, everyone should hope Trump benefits our economy, and I believe he will with his mindset. But, the different cabinets and governmental agencies and branches all have a collective part in the performance of our nation. One man can be the figurehead for the performance, but many more are responsible for the actions. As for his executive orders, people surely should do some research. Both former president bush and the oh so dear and beloved former president Obama both made multiple executive orders limiting people from entering the U.S. from certain countries. Obama did so with Cuba and Ukraine to name a few. They did so because of "unstable situations in host nations, posing a threat to confirmed immigrants to the U.S. on the basis of mistrusted information behind these immigrants" Trump has the same pretense; the host nations he banned have unstable ruling systems, such as in Somalia, the their approved migrants may not be approved by us. Yes, he should have put thought towards current visa holders, but the performance of our nation was in his mind in the end.
ReplyDeleteYes, he should have put thought towards current visa holders, but the performance of our nation was in his mind in the end. If there is any economic improvement, like this data here, then it must have resulted from the years of dedication to saving the economy by the Obama administration.
ReplyDeleteI believe he is indeed helping our nation, being he promised to make our economy better, and him help to prevent this recession shows he is certainly keeping his promises.
ReplyDeleteFrom a statistical standpoint, Trump is helping our economy. That, in my opinion, is the only way he has helped our country. I think we just have to wait and see if he will help our country in the long run.
ReplyDeleteIn trump campain he said he was going to bring america out of debt. As a president, people are putting faith in him. So out of respect of being coming elected he should keep his word.
